It’s finally that chilly Fall weather made for cozying up! (Though in New York we pretty much skip Fall and go right to Winter now, but that’s a whole other story). I’ve had a bunch of weekend events lately that involved spending a lot of money, so I’ve pretty much been scavenging my fridge and cabinet the past two weeks for meals, which doesn’t make the most photogenic blog posts. So I thought it would be fun to highlight my favorite soup recipes I’ve made over the seasons, which are great for this time of year!
For When You’re Feeling Blue
Whether you’re sick or just sad, fresh veggies, ginger and flavorful broth make these soups the perfect antidote when you’re not feeling like yourself. I recommend curling up with a bowl in front of a silly rom com!
Detox Immune-Boosting Chicken Soup
Chicken Dumpling Soup (Bouillon de Poulet avec Des Quenelles de Volailles)
For When You Need Cheese on the Side
A weird category name, but sometimes you just need cheese, am I right? I love a good grilled cheese alongside soup, especially tomato!
Fire-Roasted Tomato-Basil Soup
Homemade French Onion (with a Gruyere Grilled Cheese on Top)
For When You Just Need Something Quick
These recipes are simple, fast and cheap–my favorite elements of a weeknight meal.
Simple Miso Soup (roughly used this recipe, but added shiitake mushrooms and noodles)
